Creativity

I've been doing a lot of complaining on my blog about modern worship being boring, consumerist and uncreative. So in my sphere of influence, am I doing anything about it? The answer is a very small yes.

For the last six months or so we have been starting our services with a family time of worship which can entail object lessons, being creative with play dough, writing/drawing on our worship wall and of course songs with loads of actions. In our church we've always enjoyed a Good Friday meditative service while at Christmas we had a great family service with prayer stations. Most of these ideas I can't take any credit for as we have some very creative people in our church. I believe this is only the start in our exploration in the infinite ways we can worship our infinitely Creative God and look forward to stepping out more in creativity.
